I had to make an appointment with a nurse practitioner as no Dr was available to book on line within a week. The nurse was very efficient and reassuring and advised me on how to treat my symptoms and that I should call if no improvement apparent by this time next week.

I can almost always get an on the day appt if needed urgently by calling at 8am. And the bookable appointments are always within a reasonable time.

Suggested improvements
I might have liked an update about how long I needed to wait after my booked time. I don't mind waiting, it means the doctors are giving patients the time they need, but I did have to rearrange some student appointments!

Every time I have contacted the surgery, I am met by nice staff who have tended to my needs immediately. I typically get an appointment with a doctor or nurse as soon as I need one. Even the phone call queues are not long.

The doctors here are amazing, especially Dr Laura! Really take the time to make you feel comfortable and talk you through everything about why you are facing the problems that you are and what treatments are available.

Suggested improvements
The whole system of having to call at 8 am every morning to get an appointment is just shocking and isn’t an inclusive system. You end up being stuck in the call queue for ages and if you’re calling just ten minutes after 8 then you won’t get an appointment at all. The receptionists aren’t always very helpful either especially when they tell you they will ring you back during the day regarding an enquiry but then not ringing back at all! Is happened multiple times where it’s me having to chase it up which is incredibly inconvenient. A better system must be adapted! I saw signs in the surgery about how we can book appointment online but the website is a mess, hard to follow and very outdated which it makes it impossible to navigate how this is possible. I respect that there’s a large demand in appointments (in fact I’m reminded every time I have to call) but something needs to be done about it ASAP because ringing the surgery so often drives me go insanity.
